Hi Niantic Team, above is a nomination I submitted but rejected by the community and also rejected by Niantic Team via appealing with reason that the nomination does not meet the wayfarer’s criteria. However, I would like to emphasize that Hội Nhà Báo Việt Nam (Vietnam Journalists Association) is an association that is highly socialized, which host a lot of meaningful events that attract a lot of people to visit and gather. Therefore, I am strongly defending for my nomination, and would like Niantic Team to review it carefully, and reconsider for the decision (I’m now being faraway from this location thus would be unable to resubmit the nomination).
Your description doesn’t say anything about this being a journalist club, but that it’s located on one of the busiest avenues. You need to provide more info as to why this is a great place to be social/exercise/explore, and the nomination is lacking this info.
Personally, I would resubmit it with more info as to why this is a great social space, and with info as to what types of events happen here.
Even though I did not mention it’s a journalist club but the title of the wayspot (and photo) should say it all (though it’s in Vietnamese), and I did mention that it’s a government-established association and located in a busy street. I will take note to provide more information and mention the specific title for the location for next submissions, however, for this one, I’m now being faraway from the location, thus unable to resubmit and hoping if Niantic can reconsider their decision.
I know almost nothing about this club just from the title, and title alone doesn’t prove a POI meets criteria. The burden of proof is always on the submitter, and your information is lacking on how this meets criteria.
You need to explain how this is a social club and what types of events may happen here, like if they hold weekly meet-ups for local journalists to talk about their craft, learn about different techniques, teach the community about their work, etc.
