In our town the gyms are so close together, it’s hard to play them. I tried to submit an appeal but it got rejected. When looking closely, there are actually 3 POI in one s17 cell; 2 gyms and 1 pokestop. Is this normal? No, this is not normal for all of these to be Pokestops and gyms, but it can happen, usually through location edits. Retaining PoGo status after a location edit used to just be how the system worked a long time ago. I thought the current algorithms fixed this and caused a recalculation of the cell after a location edit, but have seen several posts recently where status was not reverted. Niantic does not officially recognize that S2 cells are used to determine Pokestops and gyms. This is community observation. So there could be nothing wrong here in the system from the Wayfarer side. ---

That is quite strange, they are indeed in the same cell There won’t be anything you can do around thr location, since they appear to all be linked to the church and assume this means they are accurate. 2 of the 3 may disappear in time. This wouldn’t be considered a wayfarer issue, more a PoGo issue I think. I forgot to mention that _sometimes_ NianticAaron has been able to do something on the “backend” that corrects situations like this. But only if there is actually some kind of problem. And if this is a recent issue, sometimes it just takes longer for the board to be adjusted after a location edit. ---

Problem is that its very hard to play because they are so close together. Takes a few times to tap the right one.. ---

With wayfarer, its about mapping the real world, so being very close isn’t actually considered an issue. Suggest trying to zoom right in and click the edges, might help. It is a pain, but also, very convenient to have 2 gyms in 1 spot like that at times I’d imagine 🥰 ---

Just remember that if they are in the correct real world location, they won’t be moved - but they might be REmoved. If 2 get removed, you’ll almost certainly lose a gym (if really unlucky the 2 gyms might be the ones that disappear) - although if the level 14(?) S2 cell has enough other wayspots in, you could get new gyms appear elsewhere. ---

Well not exactly, its the busiest place of our little town and not a safe traffic situation. Few years back a woman got run over at that spot. Only way to safely play those gyms is from the inside of a parked car. ---

Well it was “solved”, the gym got moved a bit so now its no longer in the correct spot bur further apart ---

Thsse are at a church, correct? There is no way a church isn’t safe to stand at somewhere! I would simply stand somewhere else. ---

The [Wayfarer Web Submission](https://community.wayfarer.scopely.com/t/wayfarer-web-submission-is-here/109984) has a map that you can see all of the wayspots for duplicate check.
