Ambos are not staff, they are volunteers that assist with Wayfarer, so they have no knowledge when it comes to why someone received a warning or ban. The appeal you submitted does go to human staff to be looked into further, and whenever you do reply back to an email, you get a bot response noting that your email has been received.
Staff do monitor the forums, so they may send you a DM to provide more info.
I also recommend in the future, if you do notice abuse, to report it to Wayfarer at the link below:
If staff see there is abuse going on, they can correct the Wayspots themselves.

Ambos are from all over the world, and I don’t know if there is one for Indiana specifically. Keep in mind that PoGo community ambos aren’t always a part of the Wayfarer ambo program; some of the ambos in Wayfarer are Ingress-only players, for example.
