Why does the Wayspot be nominated by other communities living in different regions or other part of the areas where they have never visited the place or have any knowledge about the areas gives their voting on the Wayspot. There are my places where there are 10 or 20 Wayspot within the radius of 100 meters and when we suggest a new Wayspot to help the players in different places and regions there is not even one Wayspot at a radius of more than 5 km. Why??? This nomination of creating a new Wayspot should be changed. Hope the NIANTIC will look into this matter or so there will be many players quitting this game.
This is hard to understand. You can post in your own language if you want. We can use the little globe at the bottom of the page to translate.
You do not need local knowledge of an area in order to review a wayspot submission.
It is the submitters job to provide the information required to show that the POI meets criteria, exists, is safely accessible etc. If they don’t do this and the wayspot is rejected, there is no-one else to blame.
Relying on anything like “these things are always accepted in my area even though they aren’t actually eligible” is risky.
Some areas naturally have more interesting features than other areas. As wayfarer is about finding interesting things that exist in reality, this is not the fault of wayfarer.
Hello and Welcome,
First, this bit may sound harsh but it is true the majority of the time. When we get posts like “everything near me gets Rejected” the usual reason is that the nomination should be rejected.
I see that you are new to the forums, are you also new to Wayfarer Nominations.
I have 2 suggestions…
1:
- Pick the nomination you believe meets the criteria the most.
- Create a post in “Nomination Support” before you nominate asking to advice.
- Include main and supplemental photos, Title, Description, Supplemental Info and Location (Long / Lat works best).
- People here will advise but you have to accept that this could be “Good to Go”, “Requires Improvement by…” or “Does not meet criteria and should not be nominated”.
2:
- Create a post in “Nomination Support” asking for suggestions.
- Post your general location (Long / Lat works best). DO NOT USE YOUR HOME ADDRESS.
- People here will scour the maps.
- Again, you have to accept that some areas just don’t have anything eligible but it is rare.
Good Luck
I am afraid certain area like residential area or rural area may not have anything eligible that you can submit. If you willing to share general area that you want to improve, we might be able to advise (dont put ur home address)
Scopely Explorer (was Niantic) is having some trial import to improve this but no update news yet
