Then i suggest, nexr time you have raid hour to raid from opposite road , interaction radius is quite big for good reason. You dont have to be in front of that ex law office to raid
Based on my observation its does seems misplaced but after checking, moving it to correct location wont change its gym status.
We will try to spread the information, we’ll try to avoid that location.
We read the rules for wayspot removals and we were fully aware that this may have ended like this, in a situation were we can’t do anything about it, like Viajerita said, we’ve been in situations where people around those spots confront us, so there was no harm in trying.
We tried doing this simply because, personally I’ve explained to the owner what’s happening, and why there’s people there but even on the other side of the street the people seem to agree with the owner of the building, this is kind of a small community and neighbors seem to be very close, so anytime someone from that specific area sees a group of us, they’re very confrontational.
It’s public space on the outside but as an administrator, and a player myself, you don’t want to be getting rude attitudes when you’re simply enjoying yourself.
We have even been spoken to by the police officers on the Prosecutor Office cause the neighbors have complained, they’re not able to take any actions since we’re on public space, we never trespass, but police officers said the people around are very worried and upset so they (officers) side with them (neighbours)
However players are individuals and we can just advice them not to go near that era, we were worried since there are 3 gyms near that location, it keeps being tempting for members of our community, but moreover for members that we don’t yet have a way to warn about the conflict, to go there to play.
As administrator Viajerita tried removing that spot cause she thought It could be less tempting if only two gyms remained active.
Also the spot is actually located in private property and the only players making fully use of it are the so called “fly accounts” which by no means are part of our group and don’t have to engage on interaction with the physical location, but that’s another topic.
We love to care for our community since we joined it and do not want to cause any disturbances, we’re simply making use of any pacific resources we have at hand, I wouldn’t want my whole community to be punished because of this.

Yes, my thought was that if I could prove it was private property, you would be able to remove it.
Honestly, I’m still surprised that Niantic just washed their hands of it, saying it’s up to each player to take care of their own safety. And okay, fair enough. But it was also their responsibility to properly check the location when it was first approved.
You already showed it’s a single-family home. We don’t know if someone moved the pin before, but this just shows that Niantic isn’t really following their own rules.
As for me, I’ll keep spreading the word not to play there.

Is there a reason why y’all don’t want to tell the angry folks how easily property owners can have the locations removed? Even the person across the street could submit a complaint if they can demonstrate that the game location is impacting them.
I would be suspicious that this was an ingress-faction-wars issue if Ingress weren’t completely separate from Wayfarer now.
From what I understood in eseregere’s comment, he did mention it to both the neighbors and the property owner, but they still refused. As for me, when I went yesterday, I didn’t even have the chance to speak with the owner—he immediately insulted me. To avoid further conflict, I just apologized and left.
You don’t have to speak. If it is a business, there will be a way to contact them. I usually send an email or Facebook message.

Ok, seems like there is some confusion, as you did say it was SFPRP, now you’re saying it’s just a former law office building and the location is incorrect. If the location is on the SFPRP but should be on the former law office, then you can request a location edit via help chat on the Wayfaerr website.
Otherwise, if you do think that this should be removed, you have to ask the property owner. Staff has noted this is the only option at this point, and they will not remove it unless a property owner/manager contacts them and asks for removal. If you don’t wish to do this, then there isn’t much else that anyone here can assist with.

What I meant is that the actual religious image is in a building that used to be a law office, that is for the actual “altar”, however the location of the pin is, and has always been, painting to a SFPRP that is at the side of the building where it should be located.
You don’t need to write in English. You can write in Spanish, as we have a translator in the forums. We also have some ambos that speak Spanish and may be better able to assist.
This would need to be moved then, so a location edit is needed, not removal.
Thanks everyone here for adding to the conversation, as the main administrator, I take this very seriously and will follow your advice on approaching the people complaining (maybe on the other side of the street), what Viajerita was doing was asking for any guidance cause she’s also an administrator.
I myself am an English speaker, not to diminish Viajerita’s role here, but I could better get the grasp of what can and can’t be done.
This is our first attempt at managing the community so there’s a lot we (both of us and the other 3 people helping us) don’t know yet, we’re constantly seeking for guidance, documentation and in general any advice.
I have personally spoken to the owner, so I’ll take action and suggest him to ask for removal so this can be resolved with no further conflict

You must understand that sometimes people are reporting other people’s “nearby” wayspot. So staff need justification to remove said wayspot( this owner stuff). It seems eligible and it can be seen on street view. And despite saying it is misplaced on SFPRP , what matter is the object itself, misplaced eligible wayspot need to be corrected, not removed(sadly correcting it doesnt seems gonna make it removed because its still in the same cell). Cyndiepooh give good suggestion on how to get it removed. If the owner is that pissed, you might have chance if the timing is right. But other than that, you need to tone down the noise during raid and keep your distance at safe interraction radius
I understand why the property owner couldn’t be bothered with someone else’s problem. But in a hypothetical situation - if a request to remove gyms from the street came from the police (who at least communicate with players), or from local authorities - would the Pokémon GO team accept such a request?
Luckily I have never had any hassle from anyone whilst playing PoGo (couple of strange looks but that’s expected

I believe the interaction is still 80 metre so you could easily interact with the stop without the owner even knowing you are there.
True. Since the wayspot is not the middle one. There is even less reason to be there as well
