Wayspot removed out of cell, existing Wayspot not converted into pokestop

A pokestop was removed from a cell, there is an existing Wayspot in the cell but it has not converted into a pokestop and is now empty. Is this intentional or a glitch? Can I get some help please?

The Wayspot is titled: Cross of Christ
Location: (41.6745880, -72.8991318)
City: Bristol
Country: United States of America

Out of curiosity how long ago was the other location removed? And when was the cross accepted? It is possible that it just hasn’t had the opportunity to sync in if it was a recent removal.

Another possibility is that the church requested that items there don’t show up in Pokemon Go. Though this is less likely if the cross was an accepted but unused Wayspot up till this point.

The cross was accepted when a pokestop was already there. I added another stop that became a pokestop nearby, in the same cell, and then the stop that was in that cell was removed the next day but my new stop stayed until someone reported it and they took it down and it randomly reappeared one day but in a different location because I placed it inaccurately because I was exploiting what everyone else around me was doing because I thought it was an acceptable thing to do. Now I know it is not acceptable. Some how there was two stops in one cell. They kept my new one and ousted the old one for some reason. Now that my new stop was moved it is now in another cell leaving this cell now empty. It’s complicated and idk if I explained that the best

So the location correction was a recent change? What is that Wayspot? The move correction may have called attention to something that wasn’t eligible.

I know that doesn’t explain the cell where no accepted wayspot is turning into a pokestop. But it may be a delayed sync issue.

Are there any sponsored stops in your area? Or ones that are only available at certain times (e.g. they can be scheduled to not be available at night). That might explain why the one showed up then disappeared.

But ultimately it’s hard to speculate without knowing what the wayspots are and their locations. If you are willing to to share folks may be able to give you more insight.
