Our neighborhood has undergone renovations over the past few months, and the playgrounds have been updated. We tried to preserve the existing Gyms and PokéStops as much as possible by updating their photos and titles. We succeeded in most cases, though not all. We have had to re-submit a number of PokéStops; while they do get approved, they disappear shortly after appearing. We suspect that a rather angry player is wrongly reporting them as non-existent, even though the PokéStop shown below is 100% legitimate. We would simply like to have this PokéStop back so that the neighborhood is fun to play in again. Thanks in advance.
If you mean that you are changing the point of interest that the Wayspot was approved for to what is there now, that is called “repurposing” and is considered abuse. Can you give an example of a change that you have made?
The translation is bad, in Dutch the name is just fine. This is a new pokestop, nothing is abuse here. The play area disappeared and do did the gym. Now this is the new play area and a brand new wayspot.
If the point of this post is to get removed Wayspots restored, you can ask for that in Wayspot Appeals . Anyone anywhere in the world can make a report, but only staff can make the final decision on removal, so they will have had evidence that something should be removed to have done that. If you request restoration, you will need to have evidence that it still exists and is what and where you say it was.
I do NOT recommend just resubmitting removed Wayspots. Since the team will have had evidence to remove them, they may consider resubmitting them to be abuse.
