Not a spesific rejection ( even if it relates to one 🙂 )

What is the defenition of a nature sign ?

I had a nomination rejected. Its a great place to explore, its a great place to exercise. 2 out of 3, 1 is needed.

Now we need a permanent image. I supplied a gouvermental sign saying «from this point is nature resorvoar»

The sign might be generic, even few in numbers, still: is a sign saying this is wild nature a nature sign or not ?

What is the definition of nature sign ? I cant find it on google from my location.

What i’ve seen is that these are called nature signs:

An information sign/plaque about something in nature, often found in “nature trails”

That marker you showed yesterday is a boundary marker for a reserve. Its a sign about nature, but not a nature sign

Again, its not about being a stubborn old man, if rules are the rules it is. Im curious what a nature sign is. The definition of it.

You can agree or disagree with how anyone defines what a nature sign entails. At the end of the day in Wayfarer, “how does the POI relate with the criteria” is the best measure towards a decision.

If you are getting “nature sign” from the categories, please read through that list a little more to convince yourself that it is not a list of what is eligible. It has “Elementary school” and “Fire station”. It appears that they imported a list from somewhere else, and it has nothing to with Wayfarer. I suspect these may have something to do with Niantic selling its data for use by other developers. People who submit in Ingress don’t even have to choose categories at the present time.

Ty for for taking time improving my understandings.

To be honest, I still dont understand defenition of nature sign.

I can agree its some sort of boundry, but its free for all to walk and talk and do what you want, but you are not allowed bring back wood from this area.

I might be too caught up 🙂 If you look away from everything pogo-related, what is the definition of nature signs ? Im curious

Wisdom of the crowd. I get that. I dont care so much if its a pokestop or not, im into the philosophical aspects here.

What is a nature sign ? What is the definition ?

This applies to streets too and those are generally not eligible without further context. A better question, what type of recreation does it support?

> [@aZirkhel](#):

Wayfarer is already game agnostic. The game permits submissions but is subject to criteria not set by PGO.

At the very wide definition of it, any sign that relates to nature. One can even argue survey markers and any sign containing a tree is a nature sign. I highlight my previous comment

To drive my point even further, fitting a category does not entail it is eligible.

Dont take me wrong, please.

Its not subjective feeling what a nature sign is. Either it is a nature sign, or ir is not.

It isnt even remotly connected to what wayfarer reviewers feels about it either. What reviewes feels abouut something isnt set in stone as a trurh.

I have what I call a nature sign. The area fits criteria for great ares to explore, and place to work out.

Where exactly can I find a place that says a marker for wild forest is not a nature sign ?

This is the wrong question. “Nature signs” are not categorically eligible.

You need to ask yourself how it meets criteria of a great place for exercise, exploration, or being social. You need to prove that it meets at least one of these in your nomination. You do not need to prove that it is a “Nature sign”

This does give “Nature signs” as an example of something that could be eligible so I understand the confusion: [Niantic Wayfarer](https://wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/new/criteria/eligibility)

But you are overlooking this part:

> A note on eligibility: if a Wayspot nomination meets one of the below criteria, that’s great! But remember that eligibility alone isn’t sufficient to turn a nomination into an accepted Wayspot.

I have to disagree, even if you are amassador. A nature sign is by definition a great place for pokestop.

So again, what is a naure sign ? What is the defeniton ? It must have some

I am not an ambassador. I am trying to help you understand. Those are examples of things that _could_ be eligible. But for any nomination, it

You do not have to prove that it _is_ something on that list. You have to prove that it is a great place for exploration, exercise, or being social.

Nothing on that list is an automatic approval, just examples of the kind of points of interest that might be eligible.

I can explain in norwegian if you want. That list is simply examples og things that can meet criteria. But the criteria is not a list, its the “A great place to explore… socialize… exercise.”

fwiw, I really hate to see someone so frustrated and am trying to help. Wayfarer is much easier (and more fun) if you learn to focus on

> - A great place for exploration
> - A great place for exercise
> - A great place to be social with others

instead of a list of things you can submit.

</div>

It is a great place for explorarion, and it is a great place for exercice. A pokestop needs a valid point.

So I found this marker by gouverment stating this is wild forest (some rules applies like not take wood back home)

Im sorry if I took you for ambassdor 🙂

There is no definition from Niantic about what is a nature sign.

And it does not matter what the definition is as far as something becoming a Wayspot.
