Moreover this Bar is known from every people in my town due to 883 band. It’s singer which is basically very famous in Italy used to spend his time in this bar when he was young, and even if now not many people goes there still it is a little piece of artistic history.
last one, this three is in the middle of the city in a private garden but just next to the road. It is a so-called centellian three and the possibility to make gardens as a pokestop is real.
So, any reason or suggestion why this points have been refused while city maps which are at every bus stop are accepted as pokestop? I am frustrated… story = refused, recent map = accepted O.O’ that’s freaking me out! T_T
Generally, don’t compare your submissions to what is already on the map. Some things got accepted which shouldn’t and need reporting for removal, but no-one has done that yet. Some things are eligible but it may not be obvious why. Some things are eligible under different criteria Exercise, Social, Exploration).
For example, the maps at the bus stops are being accepted under exploration, because maps support this. However, when every bus stop has a map to show the bus routes, this becomes borderline - maybe local players have worked out they can use this to get extra pokestops.
Your manhole cover is a borderline submission. They can be seen as generic infrastructure, so you need to provide solid evidence of them being a place of exploration. At least this is in the sidewalk so safely accessible.
Pubs and bars are excellent places for socialisation as long as children are allowed there. If it is for adults only, it is strictly not eligible.
Trees are very hard to get accepted. Unique trees with a history will tend to have a plaque - without a plaque, it’s just a tree. Further, anything in a private garden is ineligible when it is a single-family private residence.
Before submitting, think about how the object meets one of the key criteria. Not just as a place where you can exercise, be social or explore, but as something which strongly encourages at least one of these.
So with a tree, although you can use this as part of a walk, you can use anything as part of a walk and the tree is not encouraging exercise.
Thank you a lot salixsorbus!
Well the bar in Italy are open to everyone, even kids with or without parents. Hardly you find “just a bar” that is forbidden to kids, because they are well defined to be a meeting place for everyone. Many times I was kids getting some fries or a panino before school… moreover it is part of the “music history” of my town… I wrote it in the description and other notes… therefore I hardly believe it was not approved and also recourse was rejected :C
There are countries where bars are usually for adults-only - USA is a good example of this. In the UK, very few pubs are adults-only - only nightclubs are.
I cannot tell about the culture where you are, but I suspect there will be some small bars like this that aren’t really child-friendly. It would help if you can find evidence - from their website or from google reviews - that children are accepted and welcome.
Make sure to include the evidence in your supporting text, including website links, not just saying it.
What was the exact rejection reason for the bar? If you took the same.photo.as here, it’s because your photo is very bad and has a car license plate visible
My bad - I was focussing on the subject and didn’t see the licence plate!
In order to be accepted, a wayspot has to not fail any of the rejection criteria
- it has to be safely accessible to pedestrians
- it can’t be on school grounds, single-family private residential property, farmland
- it has to exist at the location given
- it has to have a reasonably accurate title and description - the photo cannot contain licence plates, identifiable people, unnecessary animals
- it cannot represent something that already has a wayspot
- the photo must be one that you took and have not posted elsewhere
- it has to be reasonably distinct, not just a random location
It also has to meet one of the key criteria
- Exploration
- Exercise
- Social
Something can meet the key criteria but be rejected because it fails one of the rejection tests.
Oh ok, thank you, you gus clarified me many points. I’ll try again with the bar and add a more complete description when cars will be not present.
Thank you a lot again!
If there is a car in front, just change your angle and get closer. Cars don’t have to be avoided but licence plates do. This photo has two problems - the license plate and the quality. It looks like it was taken from a long way away and zoomed in. Much better to walk closer
