Why was it marked as a Duplicate

At first, I got the notification that my nomination has gone through and has been accepted. Only to find out about 2 hours later that it has been marked as a duplicate. I wanted to see why this was marked as a duplicate.

Niantic Notes : Thanks for the appeal, Wayfinder! We can confirm that there is a Live Wayspot connected to the same Morgans Trace Neighborhood sign, which is a duplicate of your appealed nomination, and as a result, we are unable to approve this nomination.

Compared to the niantic wayfarer map which shows no signs of an existing pokestop.

Thanks for bringing it to our notice.

A rare malfunction caused it to be marked as a duplicate of itself. I have rectified the issue, and you can see it live on the gameboard. Thanks,

Are you saying this was rejected by the community (correctly rejected imo) then accepted by the appeals reviewer, then rejected with a new email for the same appeal saying it was a duplicate?
