If it meets criteria it could be submitted separately and as it is in its own cell would be a pokestop. There seems to be a checkerboard as well - is this for playing outdoors chess/checkers? Again a possible stop?
If you work for the city are there people you can talk to about encouraging some organised community projects? It is great to hear you want to improve things for the children. Talking to officials to ask if there are sites owned by the city that would be safe, where some information/education boards could be installed. Some nature trails developed. Encourage them to take action.
Talk to schools to see if they can get involved, what would the kids like to have?
In my town we have had small groups of community motivated people wanting to improve the place for kids making an impact in the community and as a by-product there are opportunities for some new pokestops.
I’m nearby in Conway and even here there are lots of areas where there aren’t sidewalks and residential streets have the pedestrian right of way. Either way the city has an easement on the property line.
Exactly, ppl who aren’t from this area dont understand it. Conway is bigger than morrilton too. I can walk outside my house and see kids riding bikes all day long in the street and playing in yards. Maybe its a southern thing idk.

I wasn’t referring to globally, just very local to the person that commented frim local. I apologize if i seemed different. Never thought someone close by would ever comment on something here. No need to apologize. We converse here to see these differences and how it collides with criteria. In yours and Freydall’s case, this is the relevant context that may add to the discussion IMO.
I also grew up in an area with no sidewalks. Our street was part of former US 80 and had a 50 mph speed limit, the street was 3.5 miles long with just 3 T intersections (each with only one stop sign) and interstate ramps at both ends. The fire station and grocery store were at the next exit off the interstate, past the exit that was at the far end of the street. (5 miles away.) And my across the street neighbors were cows - it was a portion of an indian reservation being used as a cattle ranch.
In our case - because of the former US 80 thing - the “public property” for the road actually extended 24 feet past the pavement. The PROPERTY OWNERS actually had an easement for mailbox placement, because the Postal Service didn’t want to have to go off road.
I can personally only think of three eligible pokestops as the “neighborhood” was then. (The indians have since built a casino, two hotels and an outlet mall, so things are quite different now.) Two of those being “homemade” style signs at the reservation entrances, the other being a similar sign for the indian reservation’s health clinic.
So yes, some of us understand even if we’re not from there exactly.
Yeah. I struggle with the tension to find a way to get a stop nearby so my kids can get close enough with old and retired phones that a bound by wifi. It is really hard when peoples homes double as a business and have a powerspot I fought yesterday.
Those no photo powerspots are the result of a mass import of business addresses. Many of them are in locations that would be ineligible under the regular submission process.
