Why way this rejected?

There has been a bunch of new stops going up in my town. A lot of them have been “neighborhood” signs.

I was wondering why this one was rejected? Its at a 4 way crossing and a field next door. The same sign at the other end of the court is a stop. So i don’t know why this one isn’t acceptable.

Here is the sign at the other end about 1/8 mile away.

What can i do to improve it?

These signs are really difficult to get accepted, as they really don’t fit any of the core criteria (explore, socialise, exercise).

Signs are usually accepted if they act as an anchorpoint for a Point of Interest, or if it is really a POI on its own.

To be honest, I wouldn’t approve this one.

In my view, this sign doesn’t meet criteria.

It and the similar one at the other end of the road do not look well made or substantial - the other one is described as hand crafted. I appreciate that this small area might consist of good neighbours but the same could apply to any group of houses.

The only vague match would be exploration and this sign is not something I would I would go to, in order to admire it.

The only reason to approve this is not because it meets the criteria to be a wayspot, but to provide a place on the Pokémon Go game board. Having things simply to play with is a natural thing to want when playing the game. But this is something that is in the hands of the Pokémon Go game developers, it is not what wayfarer is about.

I would advise looking at the nearby areas where there are already wayspots and pokestops to maximise those areas.
