My mental health is declining because of WAYFARER TEAM. Until last month, EVERY shutter art used to pass. Now everything I m nominating is being rejected under abuse for the most diverse things. Why are you being so rude towards loyal players? Please ban me forever and shut everything down, for our sake!
Fireworks are a controlled object that are not for children to purchase. Much like cigarettes, alcohol or drugs, anything advertising them is not appropriate as a waypoint.
That said, I’m not sure of the ‘abuse’ reasoning. If you would like to post the coordinates you placed the wayspot at, we can have a look.
If you actually just want to be banned, I’m afraid you will need to wait for a member of staff to respond.
This shutter art didn’t exist in August 2025, if I have the right location (42.011593, 12.367047). Depending on your supporting photo(s), this could indicate a way in which abuse was correctly flagged,
Cigarettes, gamblings and fireworks murals ALWAYS passed before September. Do you know why? Because Wayfarer wasn’t interfering! Because people knew we weren’t promoting their sales and stores, but murals! Did wayfarer give us more nominations and farther distances in order to find more abuses? To me it looks like! I have between 1000 and 2000 nominations, Never got any abuse before October!
From your initial photo, it appears that this submission was refused by fellow wayfarers like yourself, not staff.
Perhaps enough local reviewers started to understand some of the ineligibility criteria.
This would be a relevant point if this had been accepted and then removed due to a report, but it was rejected during the review period, which has not been affected by the recent changes.
I can only suggest that you try to calm down and listen to advice rather than looking to blame everyone else.

It is possible to make your points about your situation whilst remaining civil towards the whole Wayfarer community.
Please remain respectful in your posts and consider the tone of how they come across.
Simply because wayfinders can make more nominations over a larger area, does not mean that criteria and standards have altered.
They should not have got accepted. Local reviewers might be accepting these incorrectly and Scopely Explore might have updated the ML training, but what is behind this is that these are promoting activities which are not safe for children.
How can someone calm down when clearly things don’t work as they should? How? It has been rejected by Wayfarer, not by reviewers.

No, they should. Art is art, no matter what it represents. Art isn’t sale, art isn’t store, art isn’t addiction.
That’s your opinion. It almost certainly won’t match what Scopely Explore decide (which is what matters most) and what most wayfarers think.
It is established fact that advertisements influence people. A mural on a shop that sells cigarettes, promoting cigarettes, is extremely close to advertising. Trying to pretend that it is “just art” is disingenuous.
Does it say “Our team…” at the start?
The reason for the rejection is not an official warning. I’m not certain of the reasoning behind the reviewers selecting ‘abuse’ – it could be as simple as a misplaced pin. You would need to show us the full nomination to have a chance at guessing this.
I have initiated slow mode as a preventative measure.
It would be helpful if people took more time to reflect.

Okay, there we go. No, it’s not a misplacement, and you are correct that it was “our team” who rejected it.
In that case it would seem to come down to the depiction of something that is restricted to adults.
Then an awful lot of companies are going to be disappointed that the trillions they’ve spent on advertising over the decades was all a waste of money…
The point is that depictions of adult activities of any sort have always been ineligible. The fact that reviewers local to you have been letting them slide is not really relevant. They shouldn’t have been doing so, and not they are not, you can’t really complain that things are behaving as they ought to be. I get that fireworks don’t exactly feel as serious as cigarettes or drugs, but it’s not uncommon for children to come to harm due to getting hold of fireworks.
Are you really surprised that a company doesn’t want to be linked to that in any way?
Children can harm themselves even with an apple because they can choke while chewing it. So are we going to consider apples shutter arts as an abuse? Are we going to consider abuses bears shutter arts because they can kill people?

And that is the problem. What happened to appeals? Why reviews no longer reviews it?
