So I submitted this PoI and it was accepted.
Then this PoI gets rejected as a duplicate, most likely by the system since it got such a quick response.
So I appealed it, only to get an email tonight saying it was rejected without any other explanation on the email or submission page. I assume that means it was still decided to be a duplicate. Yes both are in the same restaurant, but they are clearly two separate wood carvings in separate areas (and specified so on the appeal). Is the AI still training on identifying duplicates?
While they are 2 separate fish, i can see how they might be considered part if the same decor theme. I wouldn’t waste time on this and take the L.
I really dislike the way a duplicate result automatically adds the image to the existing waypoint- it gets really confusing in cases where it’s not really a duplicate
I was going to suggest that you could try adding a more detailled title to the current spot ie the type of fish, leaving the title format as is, and varying the title format a little ie “Swordfish carving” for the new submission - to focus on the differences?
