Automatically rejected…Avon Rubber is what put my town on the map… I’ve reviewed so many “chancers” today with random pictures but clearly in someones house, its getting annoying. I’m genuinely trying to give people access to new Waystops and they keep being refused. Sorry for being dispondant but it is what it is!
If its the AI description then please tell me - its just so much easier, especially with all the rejections!
I don’t see how anybody not from the area would be interested in this so I would have rejected as Generic Business. Then you add that it’s the Former so doesn’t exists any more and to cap it all you are nominating a piece of infrastructure (the turnstiles).
What makes these turnstiles meet any of the criteria?
The turnstiles are a piece of history for Melksham - the infrastructure is still very much there although now redundant, i suspect most of the locals are descendants from employees who used to clock in and out of these gates over the last century. If I’m wrong and all Wayspots should be footpaths and play parks then id like to know. Just getting a bit dispondant with all the rejections, I guess you are correct and will focus more “in the box” with my nominations going forward.

Is there another way to represent Avon Rubber company? A main entry way (not a turnstile), an art piece representing them, an informational sign talking about the history of the company?

It may also be beneficial to offer the full nomination in your post - maybe some of the things people are pointing out have been addressed in the parts you didn’t show.
The AI description lets it down, yes, as does the picture. If you do not know what to write, keep it simple and aim for 1-2 sentences maybe with the date it opened, products it made, date it closed?
Personally I would focus on the whole building view-assuming it remains? You have clearly got some good links to show the history and importance locally, and if you didn’t add them to supporting, definitely do that when you try again.
I do think important local business are explore-worthy. I have not done any submissions like this - our town’s biscuit factory was submitted long before I was ever able to interact with wayfarer. I did submit our closed down prison, which is considered historically important and is listed, and I remember standing in that area for ages trying to get the best picture I could given its behind an enormous wall! Not quite the same, but sharing because I recognise the struggle of trying to take a photograph of a site that isn’t easy! You might have to walk somewhere further back, maybe higher up, and zoom in?
In general, when you use AI, always verify as you are responsible for what AI writes down. If you look what it says, it says nothing at all, and it’s more of a bit of space filling. Make it interesting for someone to read, and use AI to help you with the research (be carefull for hallucination) and correct spelling mistakes. This helps to proof that the location really is a great way to explorer, exercize or socialize.
Thank you all for the constructive criticism, all taken on board - there is a “front” entrance with old bells and whistles, however I much prefer the “back entrance” which had the real story of the workers and what they did since 1890.

Why not add both? If they are distinct enough from one another and tell different parts of the story?
