May I get my appeal function back? Because the other one happened to pass

Dear Team,
Good day,

I frequently get rejected by automated processes, so I try making slight modifications and publishing a few more.

As you know,
Three of my cases were initially rejected by the automated system. I subsequently used the appeal function for one of them, and to my surprise, another one was approved (upgraded) by the community. Is there any way for me to regain my appeal opportunity?

Also, is it possible that appeal case be closed now to save staff from spending extra time reviewing a spot that has already been accepted?

You can only have two appeals every 15 days no matter the outcome I will drop you a link to one of the discussions I had with the community about appeal returns

Sometimes I feel truly frustrated; after the community rejected the proposal and no alternative rescue plan could be put forward, I’m left with no choice but to keep waiting and resubmitting—only to have my attempts repeatedly dismissed by automated systems for reasons unknown.

A full 15 days… that is a truly long time. The wait can be so daunting that it discourages one from even applying.

I completely understand that feeling. The 15-day cooldown after an automatic rejection truly makes the process feel punishing rather than constructive. You are definitely not alone in finding that discouraging.

I get that this seems long to you. In the past, a nomination could take 2 years to be decided, and there was no such thing as appeals. So 2 appeals available every15 days to get another chance to appeal does not seem long to me. I do not want to go back to the state where staff could not keep up with the number of appeals received and it took months to get a decision.

The 15-day cooldown is just crowd control to stop the appeal queue from overflowing as each appeal has to be viewed by paid staff this stops a massive backlog for stuff to look at

Looking at it this way, it was really terrifying before. It’s actually much better now. :rofl:

If you listen to or watch the latest podcast they discuss the Wayfarer Timeline including the introduction of appeals etc.

Not a big numbers nominator so it would not effect me too much but the one that shocked me was at first you got 7 nominations, once used they would take 14 days to return.

@BlameJamal stated that his nominations would have birthdays :slight_smile:
