Obvious art installation being denied twice

I’ve tried to upload this art installation two times and it’s been rejected for “not fitting the criteria of art”. I’m just not really sure what I’m doing wrong with this- There is credit to the artist, a link to their page, and it’s in a very popular area.

An art installation of faux plants, installed by Illinois based art studio Silk Thumb. The Miracle Mile food court opened in 2024, and this art piece was installed as a centerpiece during its construction.

I agree that this is a very beautiful and impressive floral installation/display. However, I still have doubts about whether it qualifies as a Wayspot candidate.
The key question is whether this is truly an art piece worth visiting for the purpose of exploration—meaning, is it a standalone attraction that people would travel to see, or does it ultimately remain part of the food court’s interior decoration?
Looking at the website of Silk Thumb, the company that installed it, they showcase their work primarily as commercial design solutions rather than standalone art. Neither their website nor their Instagram post for this project assigns a specific title or artistic concept to the installation. This is understandable, as these types of projects are tailored to fulfill a client’s space-design requirements.
Because of this, it feels less like an independent art piece and more like a high-quality decorative product designed to elevate the space. People likely visit to eat at the food court rather than to view the installation itself, making it a background element rather than the main draw.
It is definitely a stunning piece of work with great craftsmanship, which is why balancing it against the strict criteria makes for such a tricky case.

I think its beautiful and I would have nominated this too. This reminds me of the time the appeals team told me a 5 storey high green wall in an atrium was a normal vertical plant art and not distinct

The qualifier is “would someone travel around the world to see this”?

Personally speaking, yes, if I’m walking around somewhere I’m checking what waypoints are nearby me, and I have gone out of my way to visit ones that are interesting and have a list of places I want to see. Many of these aren’t “global sightseeing destinations” but they’re something that encourages me to go around my city

But if you think it’s a generic piece of artwork and doesn’t qualify, let’s msg each other and you can help me report all of the waypoints in the city that don’t seem to have a specific name for the attraction or aren’t special enough for people to buy plane tickets for
