Removal request of non-existent wayspot rejected numerous times

When submitting a Wayspot Appeal, make sure to include as much of the following information as possible:

  • Wayspot Title: Handicapped Trail Sign
  • Location (lat/lon): 39.795367, -74.276775

  • City: Waretown
  • Country: USA
  • Screenshot of the Rejection Email (do not include your personal information):
  • Additional Information (if any): I’ve reported this numerous times, with pictures of the location (yes, with geolocation on) SHOWING NO SIGN, with pictures of the updated park map that no longer has the ADA accessible trail on the map - BECAUSE IT DOESN’T EXIST ANYMORE - and I continue to get rejections. This is ridiculous and frustrating. How much more proof is necessary? Should i get a recording of a park employee stating that it’s no longer existent??? I can’t upload a video even if i got that! I did not include the picture of the wayspot location with no sign because it was submitted directly from camera through the game, so it didn’t save to my phone, but I’ll gladly drive up the road and get one if requested. I’ll get a video if necessary.

I realize how frustrating it is to not be able to get something removed. I just re-reported something this morning. But I am glad that staff must be absolutely convinced before removing a wayspot.

What I would recommend is taking a video that is easy to compare to street view here to show that the sign is no longer in these woods. You should be able to incorporate some of the hardscape into the video to confirm the location. You can upload the video to an external site and leave the link here.

I am not staff, just a regular here with a suggestion of how I would approach this.
