Country: Turkey

Additional Information (if any): The wayspot in question is the street art of a local area symbol. Seagull is a symbol used by the local community you can see the seagull in Sarıyer Municipality, Sarıyer Football Club this is one of many seagull arts created by the local artists so its an explore worthy location. That side of the road is mainly used as walking and parking spot. The opposite side of the road has house entrances. So if you use common sense the area has safe access on both point zero and nearby. The wall is not on single family residential property. In the attached photo you can see the parcel of the wall which shows the wall is the boundary of multiple house residential area.
I’m not sure this needs a new topic as it has been done to death. This is graffiti and not safely accessible, so two strikes against it. Please stop resubmitting these.
Its a street art of a local municipality symbol so it means it is an explore worthy and permanent location not vandalism you can see the photos of it from 2023. If it was vandalism and not permanent it could be removed 3 years ago. It has safe access because its next to pedestrian entrance of a community gate (see the attached photo). Your so called two strikes are actually false assumptions.
This is tedious. The graffiti is not on the community gate, so the community gate does not provide safe access for the graffiti.
Look its a simple logic. The gate is for pedestrian access right? So to safely access the gate entrance box you have to be a pedestrian. The street art in question is next to gate box therefore a safe pedestrian access for point zero exists.
- the fact that it wasn’t removed, does not mean it was officially allowed by the property owner. Some don’t even bother anymore to get it removed, but are still annoyed that someone did it.
- The gate is close to the graffiti, but not at the exact location, so still no safe pedestrian access
Point zero is the graffiti. Near to the graffiti is not point zero
- Point zero has a motorbike parked on top of it.
- The gate is at least 3 metres away.
- I’m not convinced that the gate itself would be safe to stand at for any length of time.
Neither am I, but as the gate is completely irrelevant, I haven’t bothered to address that point.
The parked motorbike isn’t the problem - the road is.
The fact that there is a parked vehicle on top of the POI shows exactly how unsafe that point is.
It’s actually at least 3 strikes…
Just had a rejection for the one next to it, mis-placed, SFPRP and No Safe Access! so will create a new post for that one…
So did I. Hopefully this means it has already been removed, but it is still showing on the submission map. I appear to have reported this twice, because I got two rejections (with them appearing almost immediately after today’s report).
I really wish Scopely Explore could adapt their “report rejected” narrative so that the reporter can tell the difference between “we are not removing this” and “we have already removed this”.
I shared the parcel map the area is not SFPRP.
You can share that as much as you like. This is still graffiti and still not safely accessible.
- I know some of the people live nearby and they like the art because before the street art wall was used for political messages and actual vandalism but the existing art prevents that. (Check the older streetview)
- The gate is relevant because the gate entrance box is not 1m away from the poi. If you try to access the gate box to enter you have to stand infront of the art.
- I included 2026, 2023 and 2019 photos. You can see the artwork improves the quality of the neighbourhood. Grass means safe access and no road.
In regards to “Rash Duvar Resmi” “41.165072,29.035200”
If that the case I still see no reasonable argument for Safe Access and the misplacement in to a neighbouring empty cell.
Would appreciate a staff response including how many re-submits constitutes Abuse…
How its a lie? You have to walk/stand in front of the art to access the gate box.
Because you don’t have to.
