Greetings Wayfinders!
I’m extremely excited to announce that our newly redesigned Wayfarer website is now LIVE! From a refreshed landing page to an upgraded Wayfinder profile page, these updates are designed to bring some refreshed excitement, ease of use, and a more welcoming experience for new users.
Here is an overview of the key enhancements:
New Landing Page
The new landing page is designed to offer new and prospective members a preview of the experience awaiting them once eligible for Wayfarer. This redesigned landing page features a limited-capability Wayfarer Map, details on the submission and eligibility process, a beginner-friendly overview of reviewing, and direct community links. We hope this serves as a warm and inviting welcome to aspiring Wayfinders by showcasing global contributions, explaining the submission process, outlining the qualities of a great Wayspot, and introducing the community forum by embedding it directly in the site.
Website Navigation
The navigation menu has moved to the top of the page, giving you easy access to the Wayfarer Map, Submit, Review, and Community pages. While most sections remain unchanged, the Submit page does have a new look and intended purpose.
Wayspot Submission and Management
The Submit page now combines the previous Contribution Management page and Wayspot Web Submission page into one streamlined experience. At the top of the page, you can view your available nominations including how many you’ll accrue the following day as well as the New Submission button.
Further down the page you will see the total number of submissions and drafts you have as well as your active filters just to the right of the page. The numbers next to your Submissions and Draft buttons will update to reflect the filter(s) selected.
Profile and Settings
Select the profile icon in the top right corner of the page to access your profile and settings. Your profile page will now display your Wayfinder Tier, tier rewards, and some personal stats (including submissions, reviews, and agreements).
Please note that submission radiuses for Wayfarer web submissions have been updated based on Wayfinder Tier.
-
Novice - 10km
-
Apprentice - 20km
-
Explorer - 30km
-
Expert - 40km
-
Champion - 100km
Please note, the radius for Edits through Pokémon GO will remain the same for now.
GO check it out! We’d love to extend our deepest appreciation to our Wayfarer Ambassadors for all of their preliminary feedback. We look forward to hearing from you! This is just the beginning! Be on the lookout as we continue to improve our web interfaces!
