I’ve had the same experience and from other complaints I’ve seen it appears to be due to a stupid AI check they do that automatically disapproves them. So now we have to figure out a way around the AI to get stops approved.
The best way “around” the AI check is to submit a photo that has a clear focus on the point of interest with enough context around it for the program to understand what is being presented without so much other stuff in the frame that is it confused. If you have a nomination that you believe the Machine Learning (ML) model is incorrectly rejecting, we will be happy to workshop that with you. It is probably best if you start a new topic in Nomination Support if you would like advice.
The automated process check is extremely valuable to weed out many junk nominations. It has helped speed up the review process from years to weeks.
First real answer from someone whos actually understanding I agree the a.i auto review in the beginning is trash like most a.i reviews. I’ll just do my best to not submit a street sign I guess. “Even though there’s a street sign pokestop on ever block” 
You’re a.i is trash and you accepted so many things that should have been rejected by your “criteria requirements” so how about you try another reason for using a.i to auto reject 9/10 submissions. Even though some are already against your “requirements” for a stop, but hey “find better stuff I guess, because you missed the window for the random submission approval”

First off, @cyndiepooh is just another wayfarer user like you and I, and is not a member of the wayfarer team. So there’s no connection between her and the machine learning tool that the wayfarer team has implemented to help reject low quality nominations.
Secondly, the Pokéstop you posted is part of an ongoing experiment in certain regions, that’s designed to improve gameplay in those regions. They were added directly by Scopely Explore, and they are something that we are not allowed to submit ourselves, as they wouldn’t normally meet the criteria. These were added directly by the Pokemon GO game as an experiment.
THEY CANNOT BE ADDED BY PLAYERS THROUGH WAYFARER.
The company reserves the right to add whatever they want to their own map. And they also reserve the right to require user submitted content to adhere to certain criteria.
Instead of getting upset, be thankful that the company is trying to give people things to interact with in areas where there is nothing that meets Wayfarer criteria. It’s incredibly shortsighted to be angry over this.
If you want advise on how to get your nomination approved, please share complete detail on your nomination ( foto, title, description, information, location, etc)
Rule of thumb is never use existing wayspot as basis for submission. Some of them are imported, some criteria might change in the past, some might got incorrectly accepted, or it might have detail that we dont know.
Street corner are there to help create pokestop and help local players.
I’m also just a regular wayfarer, I both submit and review to get more stops in the game, and yes I follow the rules, so I will reject bad wayspots, and approve the nice ones.
From my own experience, I can relate to the disappointment when the AI rejects my nomination. But as I don’t do a lot of nominations, I don’t care too much, I’ll just use an appeal.
From my reviewer experience, I agree with the other forum members, I’m glad the AI is there, we’ve seen a couple of times when the AI was not operational what the impact was. You won’t believe the crap that we had to reject. Now, I’m not 100% sure, but probably a lot of submitters should be glad the AI rejects their nominations, as I expect this will probably mean their nominations won’t be as easily flagged for abuse.
So yes, the AI is not perfect, but I still prefer it this way.
I see that that you do not want advice or explanation from forum members. I hope that staff will address your concerns. There is Nomination Support if you do want advice from regular contributors who do find success using Wayfarer.
With the amount of people that spout the “The AI rejects all my perfect nominations” I thought I would just check through my nominations.
I am not a “big numbers” kind of guy but with just over 100 nominations I seem to have 2 Rejected by the AI. 1 is completely fair (very first nomination, does not meet criteria) and the other is borderline (could probably get it through If I could be bothered to put in the effort).
I have had a couple of Rejections overturned but not sure if they where Reviewers or AI.
So my worse case scenario is 4%.
This is why my opinion is “The AI can make errors” but if “All my nominations are Rejected by the AI” then the problem is the nominator.
I sometimes wonder if the people that make these claims ever review. There is so much coal out there. You also notice that they almost always lead with their complaint but rarely show their nomination.
