Welcome to the forum @Nichoo

From what I can see, the coordinates you provided for this wayspot are not quite right. It appears that it should actually be at 34.064902, -118.265833. The map shows that there’s currently a Pokéstop there called Aztec Mural, but judging by street view, this has been painted over multiple times since it was submitted, and the current mural is the one you submitted.

Whilst repurposing a wayspot is not typically allowed, we have been advised by staff that if a new mural replaces an old mural in the same location, and there’s a wayspot representing the old mural, then the title, description and photo can be updated using the relevant in game editing features.

So if I was to hazard a guess, your wayspot may have been removed due to effectively being a duplicate of the already existing Pokéstop at this location, and you should probably update the existing wayspot to reflect what the mural is currently.

I think there is something else going on with this submission, too. Can we see the full resolution photo? The mural you show is visible on street view, but shows a lot of wear. yours looks freshly painted. Did you use a photo you got somewhere else, or use AI tools to touch up your photo?

I had noticed that Street View seems to show a faded version of the mural, but when I checked on Google, I found an Instagram post from the artist which was a video of him restoring the mural.

Unfortunately I don’t have an Instagram account, and Instagram is extremely limited in what it will show you without an account, so I can’t check the date that this video was posted. It is feasible that the mural could look much more vibrant than it does on street view if this restoration took place after Street View last visited the area in October last year though.

It just got fixed up maybe a month ago by the same artist he has it up on instagram fixing it.

Yes I noticed I didn’t precisely put the poi in the exact spot but it seemed to have gotten fixed to the correct spot. I also do know there can one be one per cell but it doesn’t even show up as a poi in other games either.

That seems like good evidence for your appeal. If there are no issues to address with the photo you submitted, then you can just wait for staff to decide. I don’t think the location on the side of a liquor store would have been the issue since the mural is not related to the store. That is a beautiful work. Thank you for sharing it.
