Why is my Wayfarerspot rejected, others get a Burger King slide or just the street sign or some stone as a poker stop but a nice public wooden picnic bench is rejected. Although this is unmistakable and everyone in the area knows. Absolutely not understandable…

In order to be accepted, a wayspot has to not fail any of the rejection criteria
- it has to be safely accessible to pedestrians
- it can’t be on school grounds, single-family private residential property, farmland
- it has to exist at the location given
- it has to have a reasonably accurate title and description
- the photo cannot contain licence plates, identifiable people, unnecessary animals
- it cannot represent something that already has a wayspot
- the photo must be one that you took and have not posted elsewhere
- it has to be reasonably distinct, not just a random location
It also has to meet one of the key criteria
- Exploration
- Exercise
- Social
Something can meet the key criteria but be rejected because it fails one of the rejection tests.
Something can pass all the rejection reasons but still not be eligible because it simply isn’t meeting criteria.
Something can be borderline and therefore acceptance is not guaranteed. If you want to post the details of your submission, it should be possible to advise with what may have caused this rejection.

In the other hand, if you disagree with your nomination review result, you can appeal. Wayfarer staff will review appeal. You have 2 appeals, each with 15days cooldown
What was the rejection reason?
Was it by “our team” or by the “the community”?
The only thing I can see is the lack of streetview/lookaround and the trees obscuring the aerial images, so you cannot validate the location. You provided lots of pictures in your submission which is the right thing to do, so I would have accepted this if I came across it in review.

(Don’t compare this with existing wayspots. They might meet different criteria, they might be things that shouldn’t have been accepted, they might be mislocated, they might be fakes, they might have something interesting about them that you cannot easily see.)

You are looking at meeting the “Socialise” criteria, some reviewers may have the opinion as it only has the 1 that it doesn’t encourage socialising. It’s just somewhere to have a rest.
If re-submitting you should correct the spelling, make sure the images tie the location to something that can be checked.
As with most things wayfarer benches are never 100% definites. Staff have stated that re-submitted is OK as long as you are not “spamming” poor nominations which this is definitely not.

If you mean milestones, these are a place for exploration. Every single milestone/milepost in the UK would be eligible for exploration (but some of them fail on safe access). I expect other countries have similar features.
Some street signs might have been added as part of a test by Scopely Explore to add wayspots to people-dense areas without wayspots. Lots of these are not eligible under normal wayfarer rules and you definitely shouldn’t copy them.
If any standard street signs have been submitted by the community, you can report these using the wayfarer map.
This proposal was automatically rejected because it violates the Wayfarer criteria.

That almost certainly means the automated system rejected it. It often does this with picnic benches like this and it is hard to determine why some get rejected and some get passed to community review.
Appealing is a good option (you have done this). If you decide to resubmit, take a new cover photo (just to avoid the chance of auto-rejection since the automated system has rejected that photo before).
