Help getting the creator’s name out of the title since in the description

In Little Rock, Arkansas by the V.A., I did a successful description edit. However, I tried to remove By Greer Farris more than once since by Greer Farris is in the description now for Patronus By Greer Farris. I appealed one of the two attempted edits to the title since Patronus is the official title and the remaining part is in the description & should not be in the title too in my opinion. That was also not accepted. What suggestions do you have for my remaining appeal attempt to successfully edit the title?
When I search for the artist by name, he is listed in the Fort Smith metro area along the Arkansas & Oklahoma state line a little south of I-40. Teaching in Alma and University of Arkansas of Fort Smith is the last employment I find using a free search (Siri). I believe he is the same person as mentioned in the title and description.

I suggest you just chill out and let it be. There’s nothing wrong with the artist’s name being in the title of the wayspot. Wayfarer is the most frustrating when we insist on getting our way and can’t just allow good enough to exist.

Personally, I like wayspots with the art piece’s title, author, and year in the title. This information is something I’m also lenient with repeating in the description for my own nominations. My reasoning is due to the description being tucked away in the apps so not a Wayfarer-centric opinion.

Based upon the wayfarer title guidelines, I think you are going to have a very hard time getting the sculptor’s named removed from the title. The existing description - Patronus by Greer Farris - does match the official description for this sculpture. There are numerous web links such as Sculpture Sunday: PATRONUS | Little Rock Culture Vulture which can be referenced to verify this.

I believe that the only way to achieve this amendment would be to submit an appeal outlining why your amended description “Patronus” is preferable to the existing description “Patronus by Greer Farris”. This would be a hard argument to win given the fact that the existing title is 100% accurate and reflects the wayfarer guidelines.

Good luck

I do have to agree that there’s nothing wrong with the title. While I don’t put an artist’s name in the title for an art piece, it doesn’t go against the guidelines. It is accurate to what the Wayspot is, so yes, it may be hard to get the artist’s name removed.

Besides trying to change By to by, I can let this be.

Wayfarer edit is being reviewed by community, so if you are trying to suggest edit between two “correct” title (with name and without name) it will be like flipping a coin. But honestly, if i am reviewing, i would probably pick the one with name because i feel like i am telling credit of the art creator
