Is it possible to remove the stop if it is selected as an urban redevelopment area?

Urban redevelopment projects are scheduled to take place in certain areas of my area. Construction has not begun yet, but the establishment of the development association and the selection of construction companies have been completed, and only a few administrative procedures remain. Currently, some of the residents live there. However, most of the areas around the stop are empty houses, so in this case, will it meet the target of the stop’s removal? Or are you satisfied with the removal conditions only when the demolition of the building begins??
It seems that it will take some time to actually demolish it, but many residents have moved to other places, so there are many vacant houses. However, the target object exists well. In Korea, large-scale construction is often carried out per district in this way. Even after the government’s approval, administrative procedures are complicated, so it takes a long time for actual construction to begin. In the meantime, as residents gradually move out and the number of vacant houses increases, areas are often slummed. In this case, I wonder if it is possible to request the deletion of local stops. It’s dreary even during the day, but it’s really scary during the season when the sunset starts early. There is no sidewalk on a narrow road, but drivers don’t slow down.
Of course, I don’t have to go to that area, but I wonder if it’s possible to remove stops and gyms as a precaution.

Hi,
As long as the objects or places exist and are accessible it does not meet removal criteria. The fact that the area around them is not the same as it once was is not critical. I appreciate that it may no longer be the pleasant place it once was to walk, however, there are people who are there and who can access them. They should be able to continue playing with the pokestops etc.
Once the areas start to under go active redevelopment/demolition and it becomes a construction site the wayspots can then be reported for removal.

I see, that’s too bad. I’m not sure how long it will take for the actual construction to begin. The gym there will be deserted. Because most of the rest are old people. Thank you.

You would be surprised how many of us old people play Pokemon Go.

Yes, being older does not preclude playing pokemon go. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
