Little Free Library rejected

I submitted a Little Free Library but it got rejected as fake and on private property, so I appealed and it was still rejected. It is located at the edge of the public sidewak, inbetween 2 houses in the middle, where I beleive the landscaping is community as it includes an utility box. Since when does a LFL have to be in a non- residential area? If this reject is correct, why are all the other LFL’s that are in neighborhoods okay, but not this one? Isnt the whole point of an LFL to be accessible by the public and neighbors

? I dont get it!

Hello,

When you see Little Free Libraries (LFL) around it will feel confusing and frustrating.

There are 2 relevant clarifications,

It may be some of the others are ok or that they have been wrongly accepted.

So it is crucial to establish where yours is located.

Would you be happy to share photos and or the location. So we can see on streetview.

This is located inbetween 1282 and 1278 Maple Drive, Wheatland, Ca. Street view shows before the housing was finished being built on some maps and defaults to Oakley, a street behind the housing. I didnt take more pictures because cars were parked and I didnt want license plates or addresses in the photos. I could go back and get a better picture of the sidewalk, but would that even matter?

From what can be seen this does look to be on Single Family Private Residence Property (SFPRP).

If that is correct it doesn’t matter that people are expected to access it, SFPRP is 1 of the big Rejection reasons.

If not you are going to have to show evidence.

Can you let us know the coordinates of this so we can check it out?

A lot of LFL got incorrectly accepted. When other wayfarer or scopely staff notice this, they might got removed.

Your submission seems under SFPRP so rejection seems correct.

Didn’t see many in your neighborhood. But that Holland House is a single family private residence and is ineligible.

I think that is an historic site, but it has been in the game since 2016, so don’t know fornsure. There might be a sign there, I will have to check next time I drive across town. That whole street is super old.
