I’m requesting a location correction for one of my accepted Wayspots. When I nominated it, I accidentally placed the pin on the grass next to the building. I’d like it moved onto the structure itself, as I originally intended.
Wayspot: Pavillon des agriculteurs (parc Yvon-Lambert)
Location: Saint-Germain-de-Grantham, QC, Canada
Current (incorrect) coordinates: 45.836631, -72.569023
Correct coordinates (on the structure): 45.8365573, -72.5690193
The pavilion is a covered wooden shelter with a dark roof, clearly visible on satellite imagery at the corrected coordinates. I can provide a geotagged on-site photo or a video as evidence if needed. Thank you.
The best way to ask for a location edit on a Wayspot that isn’t a Pokestop is through Help Chat at Niantic Wayfarer. However, the pin looks like it is in a correct location to me on satellite view. The only reason I see for requesting this move is to put it in an empty L17 S2 cell. Staff won’t do a move simply to make something Pokestop eligible, and may consider it abuse to try to move an already correct pin.
If you submit the courts beside this pavilion, they can be pinned in the empty cell. [Edit: I missed that they are represented by the pink dot.]
Larger areas like dog parks or sport fields make great Wayspots, but it is important to choose the right placement of the Wayspot that respects the activity it was designed to support. Instead of placing the Wayspot in the center of an open field, park, or other large area, place it at the entrance or where there is a visible sign or placemarker. That encourages you to approach the area to visit the Wayspot, without having to enter or interfere with the activities within.
The tennis courts already have a wayspot. It isn’t the best photo (since it doesn’t show the tennis courts), but it is unfortunately at a valid location. Bellevigny - Terrain de tennis - the pink wayspot just to the right of this one and in the same cell.
This court has the potential for two wayspots, as there are two distinct activities. If you put the wayspot for the upper courts towards the top and for the lower courts towards the right, you should get a pokestop and a powerspot (on rotation).

This is the first Wayspot I’ve created in this park, so the other center-pinned points aren’t mine, but I’ll definitely keep the entrance/placemarker guideline in mind for my future nominations.
And thank you for pointing out the courts, I hadn’t realized they could support two separate Wayspots. I’ll look into that.
