To report a Wayspot without being there, wayfinders can use the report option from the Wayfarer map at Niantic Wayfarer
This generates acknowledgement and decision emails similar to Wayspot submissions.
Another option is help chat at https://wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/new/help. A text box pops up in the lower right corner where a report can be filed. This is most often used for location edits as circled, but the next option, “Report Wayfarer Abuse,” leads to a criteria section where you can report an issue. Replies are made in the text box, not by email for this method. If you lose your browser history, you won’t see the response, so you may want to save the ticket number somewhere.
There are also two reporting forms linked at the top of the forum that can be used without going to the Wayfarer site. I find it better to use the form when I have several to report in the one area.
If you can’t see those links keep reading …
The one under “Wayspot Removals” is sometimes called the property owner form, and can be used for modifications as well as removals. The form rarely matches what I am trying to do, but we have been told to just select anything, then explain the issue in the text box. If the acknowledgement email that the report was received asks for your “credentials,” just ignore it. A staff member will reply. The link to that one is: Reporting a Wayspot — Wayfarer Help Center
The one under “Reporting Abuse” is my choice when there are multiple abusive Wayspots to report in an area. It is straightforward to use, and also generates an email chain. Here is that link:
You do get a confirmation email. Please check Spam folder for confirmation emails if they are not appearing in the inbox
