The city is eyeing one of the parks in town for a large-scale demo and rebuilding. Many new things planned in the design would make great Waypoints. If the city moves forward with it, is there a way down the road that the area touched can, in a way, get wiped or reset so that we can go in and submit the new items?
You can use one of the report forms at the top - either Reporting Abuse or Wayspot Removals. I find the first one easier to use, and using that form doesn’t mean Niantic will consider it abuse. If you use the second one, don’t reply to the automated email that asks for your credentials as property owner. On either form you can give them a list of affected Wayspots and evidence of the demo.

Once the demolition takes place as @cyndiepooh says you can use one of those methods to carry out the equivalent in the database. If you can ensure you have evidence that will help.
You will then be able to make fresh submissions once the new features appear. Any online plans about the parks new layout will be useful to show reviewers the change whilst you wait for satelitte view to catch up.

I would leave the wayspots until the renovation is complete. They might leave or replace some things in the same spot. It can be hard to get things added. Why create work for yourself by removing things just to add them back?
