- Wayspot Title: Pride Mural
- Location (lat/lon): 50.1246867, -5.5397550
- City: Penzance
- Country: UK
- Additional Information (if any): this wayspot is being repainted so it’s not currently the correct title. The person that removed it could’ve just changed the title. This is a very popular area and this removal affects at least 4 routes (making them obsolete) which is very frustrating.
Welcome to the forums!
The latest streetview image is from November 2024 and shows the mural as having been completely removed. It is easy to understand why the removal request was accepted. Since it isn’t just a repaint job, but a new mural coming back in (if that is what is happening) after a period of no-mural-at-all, it seems reasonable that it will need to be resubmitted.
(Just going by streetview images for this.)
Hello and welcome,
I do have to agree with @salixsorbus here, as the mural is on Street View in July 2023, but by November 2024 it had been painted over in blue paint.
Once the new mural is complete, you are welcome to submit that one.
Keep in mind that Wayfarer has nothing to do with PoGo routes; Wayfarer simply provides the database map for what could be game play locations in each game, and it’s up to each game to decide which Wayspots get added based on their inclusion rules. If you would like to learn more about PoGo inclusion rules, please see this: https://pokemongohub.net/post/featured/comprehensive-guide-s2-cells-pokemon-go/
Thanks for the appeal, @0nFiahh! We gave this a second look and decided to restore the Wayspot in question.
Please note: The changes will not reflect in Ingress. Ingress Prime is no longer associated with Wayfarer.
