Request for Manual Bonus Location Reset (Help Review Local Nominations Before Global Fest)

Hello Niantic Team and Wayfarer Community,

I am writing to humbly request a manual reset or early unlock for my Bonus Location.

Recently, several local players and I have uploaded a fresh batch of valid nominations to build up our local map so we can fully participate in the upcoming Global Fest.

Right now, many of our submissions are stuck in “In Queue” or “In Voting” status. I want to review nominations and earn Upgrades to help speed up this process for our local community. However, my Bonus Location is locked on cooldown until September 26, 2026.

Because my Bonus Location is set elsewhere, I am unable to focus my review efforts or effectively build up agreements toward upgrades in time for the event.

Could a forum moderator or administrator please grant a one-time goodwill reset of my Bonus Location? This would allow me to review actively, earn Upgrades, and help our growing local community get ready for Global Fest.

I have reset your Bonus Location. You should now be able to set it to a location of your choice.

Please note that you very rarely get submissions to review from your local area, so being able to change your bonus location might not do what you want.

To earn Upgrades, simply review things.

The way I understand where reviews come from, setting your bonus location to the same place as your play location will not give you any more to review from your play area.

I am surprised that Scopely Explore simply unlocked your bonus location without comment on this.

Be very careful that you are not creating a Review Circle and trying for your group of players to be reviewing each other’s submissions.

Review Circles have massive potential for abuse even when this isn’t intended.
