I have the following support cases: #42806802�.
Two approved PokéStops suddenly moved from the areas where they originally appeared to locations more than 70 meters away, without any apparent reason.
I opened support cases for both issues and received positive responses indicating that the issue had been resolved. However, the PokéStops are still in the incorrect locations and have not been restored to their original positions.
Several weeks have already passed, and I understand that the game may need some time to refresh or update the locations, but the PokéStops are still showing in the wrong places.
I would appreciate it if someone could review these cases again and help restore the PokéStops to their correct locations.

Both locations are more than 70 meters away from their correct/original positions.

As an outsider, just looking at the map, the current locations appear correct. The suggested pins are in heavily wooded area on satellite view. What evidence do you have that the pins you suggest are where these actually exist?
As for the help chat message, it says that it has been moved to the “correct location” which does not mean to the coordinates you suggested.
Well, the request is made so they can help me move the PokéStop back to the location where it was originally nominated. They also acknowledge that there was indeed a location change, so I assume they would move it back to the original location where it was first submitted.
Regarding the area that appears as a forest, it’s actually a newly built residential complex that hasn’t been updated on Google Maps/Apple Maps yet. However, I have a screenshot from the game itself, while viewing the PokéStop nomination area, where you can already see the residential complex and the PokéStops that have already been nominated and accepted.
Two PokéStops from this group were moved, and I’m really hoping they can be moved back to their original locations.The people who play in this area are a little disappointed because we were really hoping to eventually get a Gym here.
When you request a location edit, Niantic do not have to put the wayspot where you suggest. They may move it, in which case they will tell you it has been moved, but will use the evidence they have to select a location.
If you think the location is incorrect, not just non-ideal, you have to provide the evidence to support your claim.
Do you have any recommendations on what kind of evidence I could provide?
At the moment, I only have screenshots of the PokéStops when they were first approved and appeared in the game. Everything was fine initially, and then, at some point, those two PokéStops suddenly moved.
The funny thing is that other PokéStops have since been approved in the area, and those are the ones currently showing in the game. However, the two original ones are still missing from their intended locations.
I don’t want to submit them again because I know they would likely be marked as duplicates in the app.
Any advice on what other kind of evidence I could provide would be greatly appreciated!
Here is the first time I was told that the case had been reviewed. I understood from their response that the changes would be reverted and the PokéStops would be moved back to their original locations.
when I need to prove location, i send them location tagged photos. i don’t mean that an external app is needed to print the coordinates on the photo, i just mean that i have location turned on when i take the photos. they are able to see the imbedded data if i access help chat from my phone and upload directly from my phone.
it may help if you can also offer external proof that something exists here. maybe homes for sale or builder’s listings.
another option for proof might be to take video. if you can start somewhere that is identifiable on Maps, and walk to the points of interest, it might prove the position for them. make sure that you are referencing something that can be seen on maps, not something that is in game. they want to know the real world position.
just a note that there seems to be a lot of funny business going on in this area. none of these have your user name on them, to be clear. but for example, this same playground seems to have been submitted and accepted three times here - and maybe elsewhere?
Just based on the sheer number of Power Spots (Dynamax/Gigamax) that have piled up, I have to assume they’ve gone a little crazy with the nominations.
I’m new to this cluster and found a couple of people to play with, so we started building up our area. But now we already have this bad taste in our mouths because our Spots were moved, either due to some kind of error or because someone else somehow submitted the proposal. Although, from what I understand, that shouldn’t be possible if the new location is more than 70 meters away.
This means the wayspot has been moved to what Niantic sees as the correct location. The original location was not necessarily correct and your suggestion was not necessary correct.
Check on the wayfarer map for what Niantic felt was the correct location.
For evidence, I personally don’t like the geotagged photos as this is too easy to fake. The metadata can be edited and the data overlay can be edited. I would also go with a video, which starts from something that can be 100% matched to streetview/aerial images, progresses towards the POI and includes something that shows this is a video that has been taken recently.
Videos can be loaded to You Tube, Google Drive or other services and linked from here or in help chat.
They don’t always respond to a move request by moving it to where you want.
Example: I submitted a move request on a university’s baseball stadium, due to the POI being pinned on the field, and supplied coordinates that would place it in the center of the seating areas (this stadium has only a partial bowl, my coords were in the section directly behind home plate). They moved it… but instead of my coords, they moved it to the coords of one of the additional pictures, which is a staircase on the third base end of the seating bowl.
