Hello Wayfinders,
We’re making some changes to the way Wayfinders submit Wayspots in Pokémon GO starting September 1, 2026. When attempting to submit Wayspots through Pokémon GO, Wayfinders and newly eligible Trainers will be linked out to the Wayfarer website where they’ll be able to submit using the Web Submission process. Moving over to our Web Submission process means a smoother, more consistent journey no matter if you choose to submit from desktop or mobile.
Here’s what you can expect after the update:
Steps to initiate a Wayspot submission in Pokémon GO:

Open and Sign In to your Wayfarer eligible Pokémon GO Account

Open the Settings page

Go to PokéStop Contribution

Select New PokéStop
After completing these steps, you’ll be automatically signed into your Wayfarer account and directed to the Web Submission page to complete or save your draft.
Please note that at this time, the change applies to new Wayspot nominations only. You can still submit edits directly within Pokémon GO, and existing drafts in Pokémon GO can be completed there as well.
