Wayspot dissappear short after approval

Hi about the next wayspot is this about:

Our neighborhood has been renovated over the past few months, and playgrounds have been updated. We have tried to retain as many existing gyms and Pokestops as possible by updating the photo and title. We succeeded for a large number of them, but not for a few. We will have to reapply for a number of Pokestops, and these will be approved. However, they disappear shortly after being added. We suspect that one rather angry player is incorrectly reporting this as non-existent, but the Pokestop below is 100% correct. We would simply like this Pokestop back so that the neighborhood is fun to play in again. Thanks in advance

When you are making wayspot appeal, its best to provide more evidence about it . Simply saying pokestop is 100% correct is not enough. Put yourself in staff shoes. How can you proof that this removal is incorrect. if the playground is gone, then the removal is correct. Someone report the wayspot in your area for a reason. If you make video starting from verified object /location visible on map/street view up to the the wayspot, you can provide evidence of wayspot current condition. You can upload the video somewhere and post the link here . The video will help strengthen your claim

Ok, fair. Do you have a recommendation where to send the video? For now, the wayspot is visible on Google Maps.

Ik I check the location, I see something else:

On Google Maps, it appears to be off as well, where you can see both locations

No other waypoints in the neighbourhood are there:

@Maleemar I’m curious, why didn’t you nominate the two playgrounds and play structures, and / or the picknick area? They are way more easy to approve and verify, instead of the treesteps? Or why didn’t you nominate them all? They are clearly separated, serve different purposes and age groups.

The google maps image that you shared, is pointing / showing a different location than the pin represents, and it gives me the impression that the building on your image is the building on the bottom, not the top.

my suspicion is that the tree steps are at this location, and not at the pinned location:

Based upon the satellite image, I can imagine that it was removed, this location appears to be an underground garbage containter (from the satellite view), anyway, if it is still there, you can post a video on youtube, and you can link to the video from this post.

The location looks more like a playhouse. An underground garbage bin would also be not logical, since no trash collector can easily can go to that location. Underground bins would be placed near streets, not in the middle of a park where it cannot be easily reached.

So even if the playgrounds are redecorated, I don’t assume that the locations have been moved.

Agree, it probably is a new playground structure, but it does look like the original playground has been removed.

Hi! Yes the tree steps are at the pinned location I guess I didn’t used the exactly good coordinates for the appeal but the nomination was more accurate. The other playground (where my coordinates are) is gone that’s why we submitted the tree steps.

Thank you for the advice. I will make a new post with the exactly coordinates and a link to the video as proof.

You can post the link here. No need make new post

And the exact coordinates

I copied twice the link these are the exact coordinates

Its good video. Wayfarer team will decide the outcome for the appeal

The picnic table is good candidate imho. You should try nominate it as well.

The neighborhood has changed in recent years, and playgrounds have been relocated. On Maps, you can still see traces of the playhouse that has since been replaced by a small patch of grass. That is why we submitted the log structures as a nomination. We received approval—rightly so—but the Wayspot soon disappeared. We suspect an angry player submitted a false report to get it removed, though this is just speculation. With this video, I want to prove that the log structures are indeed there and are not on private property or subject to any other issue that would warrant the Wayspot’s removal. We would love to see the Wayspot restored so we can enjoy playing in the neighborhood again, just as we used to.

I combine the post since its for the same appeal

Thank you! Picknicktable with playhouse was the gym but after the playhouse dissappeared the gym did also. Now with the tree trunks again—we find it very strange that everything is disappearing in this particular area, and we can only speculate.

Yes, I’m sorry I used the old coordinates from the gym as I didn’t though it came that narrow to exactly the spot as that was as that was also a issue.

One last question. How do I hear the outcome? Will someone post here?

Staff will address this appeal. They have made several statements that support is taking longer than usual, like this one from today.

They will post and mark this as solved when they do.

Thanks for the appeal, @Maleemar! Due to insufficient evidence, we’re unable to restore the Wayspot in question. If you have additional evidence to share, such as geotagged images, please write back to us or submit a new appeal with the additional information, and we’ll take another look.
