It goes to the issue I raised yesterday. I can’t see the location until after I have uploaded an image. This has been confirmed on my desktop. Being able to select the location before uploading can save a bit of data, especially if we don’t know at the time that we are out of the 10km range.
Wait until lazy people doesnt care about supporting photo and still hit restaurant = business = generic business ¯_༼ ಥ ‿ ಥ ༽_/¯
Can confirm this happens to me semi-regularly as well (Android). It’s not the intended behavior though, from what I understand.

I just tested and it’s still possible to submit with photos that have location tag far away. The 10km is not a hard limit, just a text warning, just like how in-game submission doesn’t limit photo distance.
Anecdotally, out of thousands of reviews I have only seen a handful of submissions with real photos in the wrong location, and most of these seem to be genuine mistakes less than 100m. Far more common for abuse are fake descriptions, AI images, and 3rd party images, none of which would be stopped by a distance limit. Taking real photos takes much more effort than this, and someone with this much determination would easily bypass any restriction in the ways @holdthebeer mentioned:
Therefore, I don’t think implementing a hard distance limit by EXIF data is worthwhile, since it would not significantly reduce the amount of overall fake/bad nominations. Focusing effort on broader issues, like educating new wayfarers and improving criteria clarity, would yield much greater returns.
Previously when only one image was available, I have seen several images including screenshots edited together used as the supporting image. Also, linking to websites and additional images has always been allowed in supporting text. This leads me to believe that screenshots are acceptable as part of the 5 supporting images.

Can we get confirmation if corresponding updates will come to the game(s) submissions? Will we be able to add 5 photos directly from PoGo?
If not, I support the idea that we should be able to add up to the 5 photos to submissions on hold / in queue.
If I place the pin on the location I want to submit — not my current location — could the system show the nearby Stops based on that pinned area? I understand it might take longer to load, but when I only take photos on-site and try to submit later from home, it’s hard to remember exactly which Stops were around. For Pokémon GO, especially Max Spots that don’t appear in-game, I need to know their exact positions to avoid duplicate submissions or location errors
That has been requested by several (many) people, even before the web-submission system appeared.
I imagine it is difficult because of the load on the server, if every time the pin moves the nearby data is reloaded. There could be a ‘refresh’ button which has to be explicitly pressed to get a refresh of the nearby data, which would put a lot less load on the server. This facility could be restricted, e.g., to a maximum of N refreshes in a period T, to avoid it being abused.
Well the site gives my location as being 300km away from where I actually am, way up North in the middle of nowhere. So I guess I can’t use this feature…
One more question, if screenshots are allowed, can web submission form support .png upload? Currently it lets me pick only .jpg files, but screenshots are .png… (yes we can convert png to jpg as a workaround, but then screenshots will have jpeg compression artifacts and will look bad).
in this situation, you can probably configure your browser or use a plugin to provide more accurate coordinates, replacing the inaccurate auto-detected ones.
However, I wouldn’t encourage doing this without confirmation from the Wayfarer team that this kind of location correction isn’t considered a ToS violation (since it’s not a game location).

I made a submission which included a PNG
I had to check the location settings on my device, in this case my laptop. Once I had it set correctly, the map went to the correct location. It’s going to be different on all devices, so best to check location settings.
Also, make sure that you have given your web browser location permission, as this will make sure to show your location as accurately as possible.
Neither of this, as far as I believe, are against the ToS. You do have to give location permission to PoGo, for instance.
Bug I ran into: I tried submitting on my phone (safari); due to poor cell service, uploading took too long, resulting in an error message. Submissions didn’t show up in my queue, but I still lost a nomination slot (my number of available nominations still went down).
I’d consider requests as a form of feedback

I think the Save as Draft would be an idea I would like to suggest. (Alternatively, auto-saving as we go along, every 60 seconds as a suggestion). Browsers (occassionally) crash, and would be frustrating if we have to start the process from scratch, especially if we have moved on from the location.
