Need a “are you sure you want to leave?” popup when leaving the submission page
It seems that Imports are only shown if they are a Pokestop or Gym? In your special case in Indonesia with the later turned Pokestop Imports, this might be the explanation
This seems promising. Think the only thing I wish is that I can submit stuff further than 10km. Often I travel far away from home to submit stops just to build up community parks and I don’t always have time to submit wayspots when I’m doing large batches. Would be nice to be able to take a batch of photos and submit them when I get home.
Why is there such a large distance between the photo’s geotag and the nomination location? A 10-kilometer limit allows for nominations to be moved as far as the neighboring district, and many may not notice the catch. Why not impose a 100-meter limit? We would get rid of a large number of fakes whose nominations are located far from the actual location of the object.
Upd: 100 meters is enough to nominate any building.
What good does it do? Use your location identify skill to locate if the object in question exist.
AND beside, why would a couple of abusers ruined the remote feature for the rest of Wayfinder? Many of us explore multiple location, have no time to publish in game to enjoy vacation, and then we return to home, we submit from far away with location pinned.
Ingress has 25km limit, and there is not much abuse going on. Why would you against the remote posting and limited so much on fellow Wayfinder who geniuely discover?
You misunderstood my proposal. It’s not about the distance between the nominee’s location and the nomination, but the distance between the location of the photo and the nomination.
Because…the pin normally will be placed in your current location. I am still confused by your statement.
When a photo is taken, its data includes information about your current location. Obviously, when you take the photo, you’ll be near the nomination. If you nominate correctly, it is obvious that the data from the photo and the nomination pin will roughly match. This does not apply to where you are after the photo is taken. If the data from the photo and the nomination pin don’t match, it’s obvious that you’re trying to place the nomination far from the location where the photo was taken, and therefore far from the actual location of the object.
The location metadata is optional, usually disabled in the phone camera settings, and also exif can be edited. Not reliable. Only good enough to display a hint to submitter if exif is detected, but not good for reliable validation.

A new user/abuser may not know that data can be edited. The protection may be weak, but it exists.
Please remember although it is saying optional, if the submitter does not provide adequate information about the submission then it is likely to be rejected.
The vast majority of my submissions will continue to use that field to make life easy for the reviewer and keep my chances of acceptance high.
As @kawin240 suggests, I’m fairly sure you’re showing the difference between Pokéstop imports (older, theorized to be from Foursquare, only in specific countries including Indonesia, fully imported into Wayfarer, not every single one was eligible to be a Pokéstop/Gym) and PowerSpot imports (theorized to be from Overture, worldwide, semi-recent from around when the PowerSpot feature went live, done in a way that Wayfarer can’t see e.g. in the review process). Your first image only demonstrates that these are imports that can also be used for PowerSpots, not that these are PowerSpot imports from the Overture import, if that makes sense, and the discrepancy you observe with a different wayspot supports that, as well as the fact that people in other countries only see “regular” wayspots.
A question that came up for me, usually you can only attach one supporting photo which ideally shows the surroundings to confirm a Wayspots location. Now with 5 supporting photos you have a lot more room for other pictures or potentially screenshots. Are you allowed to use screenshots from websites or this forum to show why a Wayspot should be accepted? Things like a screenshot from the Criteria Clarifications or a screenshot from a website showing the history of the Wayspot would be a good addition to the normal surrounding picture, but unsure if that is allowed under the current rules.
One feature will make life more difficult for abusers in one way or another. Your conclusions are like, “Why should we get treatment if we’re all going to end up lying in the ground?”
I submitted one using a screenshot of the trail route as one of the pictures. I found that really helpful
I don’t know if we can submit feature requests… would it be possible to have a Save as Draft option so that we can edit and submit later? Also, can we make it that showing the location isn’t dependant on images being uploaded?
Being able to send up to five images will be incredibly useful not only for confirming locations but also when recommending restaurants and cafes.
Reviewers can see the atmosphere inside the establishment and even celebrity autographs displayed on the walls.
Above all, the thought of delivering images of delicious food to reviewers just before bed makes my heart race.
You don’t have to do the steps in order. You can jump around and do them in the order you prefer.
If you go to the map and tap to move the pin it will change the shown coordinates of the pin.
