Recently a gym from my area has been removed from pokemon go since the wayspot doesn’t exist in the real world anymore, now the cell has only two gyms, but all the elegible spots for wayspots are already filled, a few days have passed since the removal and still no new gym has appeared, i searched online and it says an existing pokestop should be promoted to a gym in a couple of days but I couldn’t find a definitive answer and im afraid my comunity will be left with one less gym. I would be very thankful if someone could clear this up for me.

How many POIs are there in your cell total? Are there any sponsored gyms? If you share the location we might be able to check
hello, i cant tell for sure because i dont see the exact limits of the cell but by my count i believe there are 19 POI’s in the area, 15 pokestops 2 gyms and two dynamax energy spots(idk the name in english), the area im playing in is “Rua Carlos Maron, Candeal, Salvador-BA” it’s in Brazil, i’ve attached a screenshot of the general area, lmk if i can do anything else to help you find it
yeah that seems about right, as it seems the gym that got deleted was right on the top edge of the cell so no gym for me and the guys on my street anytime soon. thank you for the help but would u still know if another pokestop will get promoted to a gym in that other cell that lost the wayspot? i was kinda curious about that
thats weird because now that im seeing the cells the gym that got deleted was definetly in this cell that u just posted. all this stuff is pretty confusing to me lol. would you be alble to share how you got your map to show the L14 cells? id like to take a look at it in my own time
These overlays for the official maps are third party “wayfarer tools” that we are not allowed to share a link directly to on the forum. You can probably find them if you do an internet search.
