Hi I’m really not sure what I did wrong here and why this was not accepted. I see many similar (frankly worse) spots in my local area. I would be grateful for constructive feedback.
This sign marks the start of a public cycle and footpath at the top of Tafarngrisau Road. The route leads through local woodland and is popular with walkers, dog owners, and cyclists.
This permanent sign indicates the entrance to a public footpath and cycle route. The path provides safe pedestrian access through woodland, encouraging outdoor exercise and exploration. The area is part of a local community hub, situated opposite the 2G football pitch and the village school, and is well used by residents for walking, cycling, and dog walking. The sign is clearly visible from the pavement and marks the beginning of an important local route.
This is a normal street sign. Generic infrastructure like this doesn’t fulfill any acceptance criteria. You have to give up on this one.
Already existing Wayspots are never indicating what is acceptable and what isn’t; there are scenarios like false acceptances why some of which you say are even worse, are online. Another one would be that most Powerspots do not come from Wayfarer, but we’re carelessly imported from 3rd party maps, which can result in confusion.

Ah ok, I’ve seen so many of these accepted locally it made no sense. But appreciate your answer. It’s such as shame as it’s a point of high footfall and would add extra routes. There’s a 2g football pitch right next to it (other side of that fence) would that be a better bet?
This particular sign is not for a defined trail/ route. It simply means the pavement here is shared.

Public Rights of Way (PROW) are defined set routes.
There is a good web resource rowmaps. This is your area ( at least this was the only place I found with this road name )
The red lines are all PROW.
To be acceptable the PROW should be substantial enough to be able to be described as encouraging exploration/exercise. I would judge the ones circled in red as short connecting passages therefore not acceptable. The one in yellow has potential as it seems to be along a river so could be quite nice walk.

As well as being a PROW it is part of NCN 6 so there is clear evidence it is a decision point on a major route.
Each submission needs to be say something about what is good about that trail and if there is a “name” give it - NCN 6 or the name of the PROW
The football pitch looks tricky.
It is separately fenced off from the school but it does look as though the school will use it.
You need to check council links to see if it is maintained by the council for general use and not primarily for school use.
Any confirmation links need to be in supplementary.
