Additional Information (if any):
This Wayspot was previously approved via appeal, but its current pin placement is slightly misaligned and sits too close to the nearby entrance sign. The requested coordinate (-33.771427, 150.989582) accurately reflects the physical boundary of the bench structure while maintaining appropriate clearance from neighboring Wayspots. Please adjust the location to the requested coordinates. Thank you.
Can you provide evidence of its location? I cant locate the picnic table in either location. I assume it doesnt appear in game so you are trying to edit it? But both location seems to have wayspot already. It wont appear as pokestop. You might want to read here.
In the other hand, have you made edit request? This section is for appealing rejected request.
This is not at all relevant and Scopely Explore do not care about this. Having this as the reason for moving something makes it look like an abusive edit, because wayspots should be accurately related for themselves, not for what is around them.
If the wayspot pin is already on the POI, there is no better location.
Here, I think the pin is slightly wrong. Streetview images do just about help - from the near end of Dickens St to the left, you can see the bench if you zoom all the way in and it does exist at your corrected location.
hello and welcome @kimstcp
I shall move this to nomination support as the appeals area is not appropriate for a location request.
For location moves you need to use the helpchat feature.
You will need to supply proof of the new location. Bear in mind that what you are doing is suggesting a new location, it is up to the team to determine the correct location.
Moving a wayspot so that it can potentially be used in game is not a valid reason to move a wayspot.
Actually looking at the photos attached to the wayspots approved, you can gauge the position of the picnic table quite easily and it does seem to be fine at its current position, so I would advise to leave alone.
This looks like the correction is warranted to me. In the street view from Dickens Street, you can see that it is under the closer set of trees. In the correct location, this would be eligible to become a power spot.
Don’t mention wanting to make this a game location, because that does not matter for Wayspot accuracy, but I would take location tagged photos that prove the current location is wrong and pursue this request with help chat if it were near me.
I wonder if a different map would show this better?
Good photo proof would be needed, my eyes are not good enough maybe there is a satellite view with the trees not in leaf ![]()
Oh I just looked esri clarity might be showing it.
@kimstcp if you do ask for a location change then mention this map service
thanks for making me look again @cyndiepooh
oh good find! i checked esri, but not esri clarity!
I normally find clarity is anything but. ![]()
I was at this park recently and agree with the location change. I wish I’d taken photos now to help the case.
