Multiple approved Wayspots failing to sync to Pokémon GO at Campground Property

Hello Niantic Wayfarer Team,

I am writing to report a major database sync issue affecting multiple approved Wayspots at a family-friendly campground property. There are several approved locations that are fully active and visible as Portals in Ingress and appear on the Pokémon GO nomination map screen (marked with exclamation points). However, they are completely missing from the normal Pokémon GO gameplay map.

No Property Restrictions: The property is a safe, public-access recreational campground. It is not a school, military base, or private residential property, and the owner has not requested any game bans.OpenStreetMap Verification: The property is correctly mapped on OpenStreetMap as tourism=camp_site.

The owner of the campground also owns Artillery ridge in gettysburg, PA whitch has 2 pokestops and a gym i belive so the owner doesn’t have a ban on the location.

I belive something glitched and the address somehow stopped them from appearing in pokemon go they.

I just want someone to look into them.

Location address: 2030 Fairfield, Rd Gettysburg, Pennsylvania
Gps cords: 39.813056, -77.282500

Edit: i belive there is 9 wayspots, i belive 2 of them dont fit in the level 17 s2 cell blocks.

Welcome to the forum. Wayfarer has not been associated with Ingress since May of 2025.

This does indeed look like a property owner request to have the game locations removed. Staff will have to confirm this for you.

They are centered around Gettysburg Campground at 39.817385,-77.285802

I didn’t show the S2 cells since that is not relevant to the question.

They do not show on Map - Pokémon GO either, so is not just a map update issue.

I don’t believe the owner had them removed because he owns other campground that dont have them removed and i also know the owner of the campground.
Edit: Sorry i didn’t know ingress moved away from Wayfarer.

If ScopelyExp staff tell you that this was a property owner request, then you should talk to the owner about removing it. This does not appear to be a camp primarily for children, so that is the only reason I can think of.

It is a family-friendly campground Though so i dont see issues with it not aloud. The only thing i can think of is that the owner is kinda newer he bought the campground a couple years back.

Can any @admins help me out here dont know why there not showing up?

Hey @Jacoblcj08 ,

We have removed the Wayspots from this location at the request of the property owner.

Best,

You can talk to the owner as maybe it was the previous owner who had made the request :woman_shrugging:

If they want to change it then direct them to the report form ( property owner form) and they can talk to the Wayfarer Team

You can find the link to the form in this post
