After a location edit process near the community center, two distinct Wayspots became greyed out (white icons) on the Lightship map and completely disappeared from Pokémon GO.
Although they are located slightly apart from each other and there are no other PokéStops within the same S2 L17 cell, the Pokémon GO map for this specific area seems completely frozen/locked.
This is not a duplicate issue, but a known sync-lock database bug. One is a community center and the other is a distinct, legitimate landmark nearby. They both exist in the real world and should be visible. Could the team please manually refresh the database or force a sync to restore these two Wayspots to Pokémon GO?
Wayspot 1 (Community Center):
Name: [三日月住宅集会所]
Coordinates: [35.130742, 136.828271]
Wayspot 2:
Name: [三日月住宅管理組合掲示板]
Coordinates: [35.130769, 136.828305]
Thank you for your assistance in resolving this database error.
Thanks for your feedback. We’re constantly making improvements to Pokémon GO, and occasionally, you may notice changes to the PokéStops or Gyms in your community. We are not able to add these locations back at this time, and we understand the disappointment this may have caused. We hope you continue to seek out adventures at other PokéStops and Gyms in your surrounding communities.
Thank you for your reply, but I believe there is a misunderstanding.
These two Wayspots were NOT deleted. They are still visible and exist on the Lightship map, but they are currently greyed out (white icons) and sync-locked due to a location edit bug.
This is a technical database error (sync-lock issue), not a request to re-add deleted locations. Since they are legitimate and active on Lightship, they should be synced to Pokémon GO.
Could you please forward this to the technical team to manually force a sync or refresh the database for these coordinates (35.130742, 136.828271)? Thank you.
Also, please consider this:
If the current state is “working as intended” due to the cell overlapping rules, at least one of the two Wayspots should still remain visible in Pokémon GO.
However, right now, both have completely disappeared and became greyed out on the map. This complete disappearance of both locations is clearly a database synchronization issue.
I am not asking to move their locations anymore. I just want the system to function correctly. Please resolve this sync-lock so that at least one of these Wayspots can appear normally in Pokémon GO. Thank you.
Staff do not acknowledge S2 cell rules the community have observed. But both of these Wayspots are in an L17 S2 cell with the gym 三日月公園のターザンロープ so neither would be expected to be pokestops.
These are the locations found using a specific method. If these were the original locations, both were incorrectly placed. Someone who noticed probably fixed them.
I sincerely apologize for my previous misunderstanding and for the incomplete information I provided earlier.
After carefully checking the area again, I realized that I had overlooked the nearby Gym because I was mainly focusing on the PokéStops. I am very sorry for this mistake.
I also rechecked the physical location of the Mikazuki Housing Management Association Bulletin Board.
I now realize that my previous statement that the pin location was completely accurate was not correct. The pin is currently on the bulletin board, but it is slightly offset from the actual central position of the bulletin board.
I am not requesting this change because of the cell configuration or to affect the Gym/PokéStop situation. I would simply like the Wayspot’s location to accurately represent the real-world location of the bulletin board.
Could you please review the current pin location and, if appropriate, move it slightly so that it corresponds more accurately to the actual center/location of the bulletin board?
I have attached a recent satellite image/photo to help show the location.
I completely understand that the current Pokémon GO behavior may be working as intended, as you explained. I am not asking you to change that behavior.
I am only requesting an accurate location correction for the bulletin board itself.
I sincerely apologize again for my earlier misunderstanding and for overlooking the nearby Gym during my initial review. Thank you very much for your time and patience.
