Weird cell (no sponsored stops or gyms imvolved)

Hello,

When searching for new spots on a area I had not quite explored yet I cama across a very weird cell. Here is the situation:

The cell has 3 gyms and 15 pokestops.

To my knowledge this should not be possible (unless sponsored stops are in play, but there aren’t in this sititation).

The old IITC has 19 wayspots in this cell, one removed after the split. No additional spots were added since the split.

Leaving coordinates of the cel: 51.844514, 4.326041

Current gyms of the cell:

  1. Spijkenisse, School’s out

  2. Het speelhuisje de Wetering

  3. Basket-voetbalkooi @ Andries Van Bronckhorstlaan

The removed spot after the Ingress split, leaving 18 spots in the cell: Gemeentewijzer bij de Sterrenhof

Could somebody know what is going on here?

And could staff maybe take a look at this cell as well?

(As a sidenote, this has been here for a while, so it is not a related to a late sync.)

Thank you

It’s possible that there were 20 or more cells that were occupied at one point in this L14 cell, but it has been reduced to under 19. If that happens, the gyms typically stay and don’t turn back into regular stops.

That could be a possibility. Great to know for future experiences.

I hope staff can still make some adjustments to this cell to make it work as intended again

And maybe I should have just expexted this. I live in the Netherlands. Just one of those countries with weird scenarios regarding wayfarer. Anything can happen here🙃

Oh, yes, it makes complete sense that something was removed there, leaving the current gym situation. I would not expect the L14 cell to be recalculated unless there was much more widespread abuse.

I have almost filtered out any kind of abuse regarding cells in my village.

I want everybody to have a honest playing field. And filtering out abuse spots is good. Gives the Netherlands a bit more good side, other than just abuse regarding this country.

(I will see if staff decides to take action or not)

As far as we’re concerned, its working as intended… going below thresholds isnt expected to trigger a recalculation and demotion.
